Stage Chance was formed in September 2004 as an Active Citizenship course. Its
project was to produce a production. Stage Chance is a performing arts group based at
Soham Village College allowing students to take part. Stage Chance is associated with
Active Citizenship and ASDAN awards. Stage Chance was founded by Daniel Bell from
Soham Village College when he was in year 8. He then built on the foundations with
friends Katherine Hickmott and Craig Carpenter. Louise Sarll (youth development
worker at S.V.C) over looked the whole project. Since performing 'Pinocchio with a few
changes' on March 23rd 2005 in Lodeside Hall, Vice Principal Mrs. Bryden gave the
group more challenges performing Cinderella the Pantomime in December 2005. Stage
Chance grows new talent by the day introducing over 200 new people since Stage
Chance first gave this new opportunity. Daniel Bell writes all the pantomimes for the
group and his pantomimes are also being performed in Stafford this December.
